tl;dr This is a fun anime.

When I come up with a rating for a show, the most important thing I think about is: "Did I finish this series because I legitimately wanted to keep watching more of it, or did I finish it just to get through it?" This show absolutely belongs in the former category.

Yes, you have an edgy, overpowered, wish fulfillment hero in Anos. But his cheesy, cocky, and deadpan nature turns a dime-a-dozen setting into a wonderfully absurd parody of all those other edgy, overpowered, wish fulfillment heroes. This show is absolutely unapologetic in being a straightforward and amusing take on the power fantasy genre.

And yet, for being such a comically overpowered protagonist, he puts a lot of emphasis on the importance of familial bonds. camaraderie, & (literally) the power of friendship. Both him and the assortment of side characters are extremely likable, and despite his overpowered nature the battle sequences are entertaining. There's also plenty of comedy, doting parents, musical numbers, & bromance. Give it a try!
