This one is a bit different, and it's a difficult to "get" at first. There's a lot going on in the very short episodes, and it can easily seem random and ridiculous in a bad way. The problem with short episodes is that it's difficult to show everything and be funny and keep the viewer's attention all in 2 minutes. This is where Ai Mai Mii could have done better, not so much that the jokes weren't funny or that there's too much randomness. I honestly wasn't that impressed the first time I watched it, but after seeing it a few times, the characters start to make a bit more sense. Ponoka's antics particularly seem kind of random in the first few episodes, but they make a lot more sense after you see more and more of her.
The art style is a bit different, which is nice. There's nothing particularly outstanding about the animations, but there is a good amount of variation in style for facial expressions and such, which is always necessary for a gag anime to be any good.
If you want to turn off your brain and blast through something fun and short, this may not be for you. However, it is still pretty fun and definitely worth a watch, even if it seems pretty random before you see it a few times. Overall, it is perhaps not spectacular, but still pretty good.
