Where Azumanga Daioh shines is through it's characters. From tall, quiet and animal loving Sakaki, to loose-cannon "wild cat" Tomo, 10 year old genius Chiyo, bubble-headed and loveably awkward Osaka, quick-tempered and weight-sensitive Yomi, and athletic and outwardly competitive Kagura there's an unusual personality for everyone to love! The interesting thing is they somehow manage to be the best of friends, and there's nothing funnier and more entertaining than watching their antics as they race through high school with the "help" of their teachers. Still, they all accomplish their goals, say goodbye, and go off to college... They grow up so fast, a must watch for anyone interested in a slice of life anime.
