This show is beautiful--in plot, in characters, in feeling, and in music. Its bittersweet and yet heartwarming. It really does go into, as I read another reviewer say, as to how males and females are classified in this world. But its more than that, yes, while the situation is rather different, this series screams childhood. No, I do not mean that it is made for children, but rather to remind us who are no longer children of childhood. Never have I been able to relate to a series like I relate to this one, even though goodness knows I have never questioned my gender or sexuality. But, from its slow piano music, to its soft laughter, to its beautiful water-colour style art, this show is sweetly nostalgic, reminding us of not just of how our childhood was to others, but of our feelings at that time.
I highly reccomend it, its not action filled, but as each series ends with its wonderful theme, 'For You' by Rie Fu, you cant help but smile :)
