I LOVE LOVE this anime! It will NOT appeal to 99% of the anime fans, because there is no story, no character development, and no demons or explosions, so to some this will be incredibly boring. But to me, it was like listening to Vivaldi from a mountain tent, all alone in the mountains, with something uncertain happening out in the darkness. The music is peaceful, gentle, even a bit feminine in a way, which is perfect because it is in stark contrast with reality ... a post growth world. The cities are fading, people are slowing disappearing, the water levels have risen, but it wasn't a monster or an alien ... it just slowly and surely happened. And despite that, there are those who enjoy trying to continue the traditions of living, of making a decent cup of coffee (as a robot, ha!!), of riding scooters in the rain, of just being. I love how this anime makes me feel ... and the shadows on the puddles, the shading of the clouds on the waving fields of grass, it's beautiful and artistic. Unfortunately, it can evoke strange and strong feelings of nostalgia for a time that isn't, yet, and other complicated emotions, and so I don't watch it often. Anyway, I'm super grateful to the creators of this anime.
