This anime is one that is funny, cute, easy to watch, and also leaves the viewer feeling happy. With good elements to it, here's why I rate this anime deserves a solid 7.

**Note: I actually couldn't come to a solid conclusion on my own about what score to rate it, so I calculated the overall average by using the scores I chose for the individual elements of this series.

Story: 6
The only reason why this gets bumped down to a 6 is because of the fact that there isn't a storyline - it's episodic. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it being like that, but it wouldn't make sense to give it a high score for story when there isn't one.

That being said, if you're looking for a series with a plot or consistent story, this series will let you down. In this series, (to my observation), in each episode the characters will have some sort of new situation, issue or such, or maybe several. That being said, this is a COMEDY series, so these "situations" and "issues" tend to be quite light. Given that, humour isn't entirely random, and it generally matches what's going on.

Although the great majority of this series has comedy, there are some sweet moments and a few moments that, depending on how you take things, could maybe make you go "that's actually a little sad...", but with these moments, it usually lightens back up relatively quickly, and it never gets outright depressing.

Art: 7
This story has solid art. It has good animation that flows well and doesn't look choppy. It has nice, bright colors, and a good colour palette. I would certainly consider the art and animation in this series to be visually appealing. It isn't AMAZING or anything, but it's more than enough to make it easy on your eyes, aesthetically pleasing, and make certain characters look quite attractive (cough cough, Kokkuri-san)

Sound: 7
Pretty good. Nothing outstanding. A cheerful and nice opening (it caught me off guard the first time, it's quite joyful but a liiiittle loud!) and a nice ending to match. There's good seiyuus, such as the well-known Daisuke Ono playing the role of Kokkuri-san.

As much as my Japanese isn't anywhere near great, I could still tell that their sentences are comprehensible and they generally speak clearly and the audio doesn't sound muffled or anything. The scoring is relatively good too, and there's also a pleasantly voiced narrator that sometimes comes in.

Character: 8
If you don't like these characters, you won't like the series. I liked all of the characters, and appreciated how different they can be but the interesting way they come together to form a (slightly chaotic) pieced-together family***. The characters in this series are funny and their remarks towards each other are clever, usually fit their personality, and are also amusing. With generally small cast, this series still manages to include some attractive characters, some adorable, and some normal looking characters.

That being said, although I wouldn't call any of them generic at all, but none of them have super complex personalities, tragic and/or epic backstories, mind-boggling traits or anything, etc.

***When I say family, none of them are biologically related - this anime actually, while subtle, carries the "family doesn't necessarily mean blood-relatives" message.

Enjoyment: 8
I liked it! It made me laugh, smile, even "aww", etc. I have no protests here, and I enjoyed it enough that I might rewatch it in the future.

Overall: 7
A "7" is not only what I got as the mean score, but also what I think this series deserves. It's certainly a solid series, although, at least to me, didn't have anything that would bump it up higher. I wouldn't be against giving this series an 8, though, but a 7 is better fitting.
