Sigh, so much potential. Despite the first half being chock full of mildly insulting stereotypes, it was FUN, the tournament was fun, seeing characters grow was fun, the powers were fun, the fighting was fun, so much of it was just a good time. Then it kind of seems like the author hit a brick wall about what to do and where to take it, honestly it reminds me of Bleach in that way. Over time it has also become increasingly cliche, and like ToG there is far too much "haha you've activated my trap card I prepared for this all along haha!" as well as double crossing, triple crossing, legit quadruple crossing and I'm not joking quintuple crossing... Combine that with some silly power creep and asspull power ups because the MC's friends have ultimate plot armor and it has gotten really stale. If this had ended with Chapter 2 I think it could have easily been an 8-9 for me, however the way it's going I'll just stop now at 470 because it simply isn't getting any better and I want to preserve the good memories I made during the first half of the journey into The God of Highschool.
