Story - 10
Honestly I'm not the most emotional person out there when it comes to media and fiction in general, but this manga has made me tear up a few times. It's quite light hearted most of the time but the melancholy (even if it's not meant) is so strong at points that the stupid onion cutting ninjas appear. even though it's only 17 chapters deep at the time of writing this review (eng translation) it's still quite impactful, while at the same time being very surface level? it's hard to explain but hopefully you'll understand if you give it a read :)
Art - 8
The art isn't amazing but it isn't bad either, it's quite cutesy but can be used to portray scary moments. If I was to compare it to a mangaka it would be High score girl's. in High score girl it's quite cutesy n all but If you've read their other work (Misou Misou) It's used horrifically. This manga isn't nearly as brutal and I'm really only talking about one chapter where they go over Koishikawa's past
Character - 9
I could go over the melancholy of Koishikawa's character again but I don't wanna sound like a broken record, most of the characters are your stereotypical cutesy middle schoolers but their still pretty loveable nonetheless. only issue so far is that there hasn't been much character development for anyone, but it doesn't really make too much of a difference (plus we're only 17 chapters in)

Aside from Blue lock (another great manga you should check out) this is my favourite running manga, give it a read and you won't regret it, it's easy to digest and a sad read at the same time :D
