A continuation and further refinement of the best anime there is. As before, the depth of empathy this show demonstrates for others is boundless, inviting us explore the hearts of those few other shows even attempt to pierce. The richness of emotions is even stronger this season, and almost every episode will stir you in some way. Every character continues to naturally evolve, their complexities shifting as their lives intertwine more fully. The art and sound design are also somehow even better than before, with nearly constant, immensely striking scenes.

Once you're done with this one-of-a-kind series, check out the manga. Incredibly, the series gets even better after the end of this season.
