Reading this Manga is like experience a gust of fresh air, let me tell you why!
If you hadn't already worked it out, this manga is about two high schoolers dating, sounds pretty bog-standard. What makes this story different is the fact that Meguro (the woman) has been in relationships before dating the male protagonist.
Many people can not stand the fact that Meguro has had relationships before dating the male protagonist and so leave a very poor review of this manga. I don't know why that is, but honestly, if that's you, then take a good hard look at yourself and reevaluate your life choices!
Anyway, the plot revolves around MC and Meguro's relationship. Unlike most rom-coms, this manga is more focused on MC and Meguro trying to understand each other rather than constant laughs. There are a lot of serious scenes, however this manga has a perfect ratio of drama to laughs to wholesomeness.
The story really starts getting heavy in the flashback chapters. The author gives us an insight into Meguro's past, and shows us scenes in which Megro is getting groomed by her teacher. It hit a little to close to home for me, so I struggled to read those chapters; most people should find it ok though.
I feel like I really connected to both characters in this manga, they were both really well written! Both characters are likeable, especially the MC. Manga authors often fail at writing male characters, they often become boring and unlikeable, however, this manga doesn't have that! All of the characters on this manga are also drawn very well, the art is lovely!
Overall, I have to give this manga a 10/10. It really pushes the boat out, and it really makes a change to the same repetitive rom-com mangas. If I were in your shoes (as long as you're not a incel who thinks a woman's value is based not he number of relationships she's had) I'd definitely give this manga a read, it's funny, heartwarming, pretty and a thoroughly enjoyable read!
