Starts off slow but builds steady interest during the long thirty seconds of establishing characters and plotlines, followed by a narratively complex exposition of the main character's struggle for identity.

To the untrained eye, the first seconds after the climax could be seen as preoccupied with the flashing imagery of culinarily exquisite traditional Japanese food, but it is in fact filled with remorse of our protagonist, whose actions can on the surface be seen as euphoric and almost joyful, however the promiscuous smile shows her longing for genuine recognition. The harsh realities of abusivly violent world around her offer little comfort in her struggle. And while it seems that the viewer will in the last gently speeding seconds be left with nothing more than the nichilistic outlook of the current condition, just before the credits roll, we are given a hopeful glimpse of the future less tainted by the burdening sins of humanity's past.

Watch it for the artstyle and not much else.
