The only reason i am being biased on this review is because i have followed through with the entire series way-back. pays homage to the original anime bringing out prequels and side characters like the ones-(spoiler alert)- from the cats eye anime series, not to mention all the original soundtracks from the 80s, the animation is good quality the characters look the same but HD, i loved this series because its one of those anime's that has some serious messages undertoned by slapstick humor,its got everything i like from the old anime and is not over the top, you'd love it if you were bored and wanted a good action anime movie, i give it a solid 6 as it delivered everything from humor to action to fan service as i said earlier anyone who is a fan of this series would agree that this recent movie does the series justice. But there just isn't enough wow, in terms of improvements they kept it old school.
