I thought season 1 was alright, I knew season 2 would be better but "Get Ready! Wake your psyche up MOB!" because I didn't know just how good it would be, I didn't really have many expectations. With that being said, I think you should consider going into it blind.

I'm going to start with the art section. The action is some of the best I've seen in an anime yet and the animation has improved quite a lot since last season with some more attention to detail as well, even in the intro you can see the various Mobs and how his hair progressively gets more crazy just like when he powers up.

For story and characters, they go hand in hand because they expand upon and build on the characters so you really care about them and know their background a bit better as well as an insight to their life as they improve themselves through this season, they even bring it up with how much Mob has grown throughout. There were a few characters that didn't really show up at first but don't worry, they'll be there by the end. Also Mob reminds me of Elijah Wood with his English voice actor.

The story splits itself up into 3 main arcs which I won't spoil but will say that the second one made me really feel for these characters. It isn't until the third arc that the other two come together and connect to make this season seem whole and articulated. I honestly saw the first arc and thought "How can it get better than this? Shouldn't they ended with that high note?" Well...you're in for a treat. The story brings about lessons of things such as moral, friendship, faith and truth then uses them as the key to unlock characters hearts like it's a Kingdom Hearts game. I do have one question though, why get the prime minister exactly?

With all this improvement, I expect it to maybe go up a point since I gave Mob 1 a 7 but this season jumped all the way to a 9, you would think that it would differ drastically from the first season but I beg to differ. It keeps the comedic tone and more or less just uses the first season as a platform. It continued to impress me. With the first season I didn't really buy the whole 'psychic powerful being' idea where they are in control and supreme to other beings, this season does make them powerful but the morality issues brought up, surpass and show how it might be able to be a good thing with people such as Mob which makes it more enjoyable to almost make him an underdog.

With that I give it a 9 out 10, it was clear that I was going to give this at least an 8 from the beginning alone and I would have been up to debate for a higher rating after I watched it but it was during the battle with Shimazaki that made me decide for sure to give it a 9. If you watched season 1, liked it or not, give this one a try, I think you'll be surprised.
