Preliminary (97/? chp)
The 'Captain Tsubasa rising sun' could be the final chapter of the big saga of 'Captain Tsubasa' who started in 1981.

But this is only a theory, in fact, recently, Takahashi-sensei declared that he's so proud of 'Captain Tsubasa', because it's a never-ending saga and, only a little number of manga-series, are in this list in Japan.

This means that after the 'Captain Tsubasa rising sun' he could write something more, maybe the 'World Cup arc' so desired by fans.

Ten years passed from the beginning of the series and our beloved heroes, that now are all young adults, are fighting all together in the Japan National team to conquer the gold medal at the Olympics.

I don't know how to say, it's as if after the 'Captain Tsubasa World Youth', every big chapter of 'Captain Tsubasa' ('Road to 2002', 'Golden 23' and 'En la LIga') have been written to arrive at this point.

In fact the eternal rivals reappear at this Olympic tournament which, 'Tsubasa & Co.', have already faced in the international arc of the first 'Captain Tsubasa' and in the 'Captain Tsubasa World Youth' and of the new ones, which however have already appeared in the others previous large chapters of 'Captain Tsubasa' face the horizon.

It seems the time has come for Tsubasa to face Michael and settle accounts with Rivaul.

Moreover it seems that Takahashi-sensei is preparing the future for other historical characters of 'Captain Tsubasa', giving life to a bigger plan that little by little, match after match, is taking shape.

To understand this it's better to do a recap of the story of our beloved 'sky wing' aka Tsubasa Ozora (Takahashi gave this name to his hero to say 'Go Tsubasa, open your wings and reach your dream!'):

- 'Captain Tsubasa': after the middle school Tsubasa went to Brazil and left Sanae/Anego in Japan
- 'Captain Tsubasa World Youth': at the end Tsubasa married and went to Europe
- 'Captain Tsubasa rising sun': at the end of this arc Tsubasa could become the proud father of two males twins. He has already the names with Sanae, I wonder if they will be the same as the 'Captain Tsubasa Millenium Dream'. There's only a little problem Sanae has the term, just for the day when the final of the Olympic soccer tournament should be played ... I think we'd better get ready for strong emotions ...

Recently Hiroki Goto defined 'Captain Tsubasa' as 'a refreshing soccer manga, where the ball is the best friend of the man' and I'm 100% agree with him.

Yoichi Takahashi has a graphic style, which, despite having evolved over time, has remained somewhat unchanged while maintaining its uniqueness.

Probably it's because it respects the personality of a modest and kind person with a great passion for sport that has created this work to make people love football, succeeding in a truly extraordinary way.

'Captain Tsubasa' remains however a manga-series with 'that something more' and 'that something magic'.
