A girl called Risa who's a 170 something cm tall high schooler with a height complex, and Ootani a shorter than average guy at roughly 150 something cm also struggling with his height and telling the girl he likes how he really feels. Both begin encouraging each other to find "the one" and begin growing closer day by day.
Story: 7/10 Good.
Lovely Complex has a nice little story that i pretty much summed up above. Bolstering a huge number of laugh out loud moments that kept me going even during the slow classroom scenes. I liked it overall.
Art: 7/10
Even though LovCom does't hold up to today's standards of anime, its still not bad. And for an anime release in 2007 i can't fault it too much. The colour palette really saved this from just being "okay" as it was always very pleasing and it held a sort of "painterly" finish. Also the main two characters are designed very well.

Risa and Ootani were great, everyone else kinda takes a back seat. But that's all this anime needed to do, make the main two likeable and i feel they accomplished that. It did make me wish for stronger side characters though.

I ... enjoyed this. As stated before the comedy pulled me through, but there were also some nice little romance moments. If you like the comedy side playing off the romance side, you might very well enjoy this. It's a good balance.
Overall: ... well deciding between a 7 or 8 was a little tough. Ideally i would give it a 7.5, but this site only offers whole numbers. Judging other anime in its genre such as Ouran which holds a 10 in my opinion, i will settle on an 8/10. A very good anime.
