Preliminary (124/124 chp)
This is a manga that originally existed almost purely to appeal to people with a fetish for tomboys, rock hard abs, and tomboys with rock hard abs, but eventually became a pretty enjoyable romance. So if you're avoiding it because you're worried its pure fetish bait, dont judge a book by its cover.

Story: Starts off as a generic manga about a wimpy guy boxer and a strong girl boxer in love, with the standard manga conceit that the guy is a boring generic everyman and the girl is designed specifically to appeal to a particular fetish. Eventually the guy develops a personality and some interesting side characters are added, and the story stops feeling like an excuse to oggle. Its not done yet, but it merits about an 8.

Art: A bit of a weakness at first, but gradually getting better. The boxing scenes in particular improve alot over time, and the realistic feel of the art complements the grounded story well.

Character: They're all likable, though it takes a little while for them to become interesting. This is one of the only manga I've encountered that is a decently serious look at the field of female athletics, so the cast of female boxers introduces some characters that feel alot different from the female characters of other sports manga.

Enjoyment: Started reading it because I thought I'd love to hate it, but ended up really enjoying my time with it. Definitely a good romance, especially given how every other romance these days is harem softcore porn. GIve it a read if you like "Tomo-chan is a girl" or "story of a female knight".

Edit: To reflect the ending, I've decided to lower my score to a 7. It felt a bit rushed, and I think it suffers from developing some plot threads that ultimately go unfulfilled. Still, an enjoyable read.
