Before watching the anime, i had read one or two chapters of the manga and heard about the story from a friend. From those i thought i already had some idea about how it was going to be and i was increbly anxious to watch it.

The story. I have to admit i was somewhat disappointed when i first watched it. From reading reviews and people commenting about it, i was sure it was supposed to be a pretty badass story. It did sound like THE story...on paper.
On the animation, though, it was portrayed in a fairly silly way, the comedy and sarcasm overlapped the scary action filled story. That’s my only complaint in this point, but notice that this “little” detail ended up ruining a big part of my experience. Regardless, I have to say the idea was an original and the application was quite good. Specially the slow-cooked relationship between teacher and students made it more enjoyable and relatable

The art. I wasn’t used to this drawing style on the characters part. The thick lines were a bit of a problem for me, but that goes with taste. Although it did match with the teacher’s animation.

The characters. As mentioned on the story topic, I loved the slow development of the relationships in the classroom, as well as their own individual personality development. There was a good mix of different temperaments in the classroom. Also for the teacher, who was getting closer and closer to the kids, even though he was supposed to be the bad guy.

Enjoyment and overall. I had a fun time watching this, specially on the first and last episodes were the climax reached its highest point. It was nice seeing how the students got attached to sensei and vice versa, and how they were trying so hard to get away for him to live afterwards.
