This is a difficult manga for me to rate since it was discontinued after only a couple of chapters. The scope of the story was broad enough that those 11 chapters were only enough to set the stage for what could have been a much longer tale. I am sucker for secrets that the mangaka hints at and reveals slowly throughout the story, and there was a lot going on in Tenshi no Uso that I can only assume was intended to be revealed later on in the nonexistent chapters.
The artwork was attractive, and I was surprised at how likeable the characters were. I also really enjoyed the humor in this manga....I am not a big fan of slapstick or over-the-top comedy, but the humor in Tenchi no Uso made me laugh A LOT.
Overall, I am really disappointed (and confused) about the manga ending where it did. It had a lot of potential, the premise was interesting and not just a rehash of half the other manga out there, and the characters intrigued me. I likely would have given it a higher rating of it had been finished.
