This has kawaii neko-kuns. Military people may too, and one has a fuel-powered foot somehow, makes a distinction between dog and cat ears, but in the end the comedy is cute, dispensing with the extraneous 'serious' narrative that the main series touches on.

Surely, this is the type they should have made more of; while the beginning of the second episode of the main series is the apex in its attempt at beauty, it tries to build a story which later obviously stops due to all yaoi inevitably having only two eps.

But, overall, this was the highlight which was also available at the end of each main episode.
