Nothing too much ever really happens, and it's rather slow paced, but it feels perfect, and it fits it's genre in a unique way that is refreshing compared to all the other fast paced survival anime that are out there.
A big mention is the backgrounds and art style. The character design is very minimal, and it fits, but the biggest thing has to be the world they are set in. The cities and landscapes are truly beautiful, and were a big push for me creatively when doing my own work.
While I can't write too much about then ending without spoiling anything, I have to say it was perfect for the tone of the story, giving a satisfying, yet slightly sad ending to this anime I have loved so much.
Finally, while it may be a small thing, I was really loved the ending song, as well as the animation it was paired with, the inky, sketchy style was extremely visually interesting.
