Kaiba (Anime) add (All reviews)
Mar 26, 2018
Kaiba is probably one of the most innovative anime out there when it comes to all facets of judgement, be it story, art, sound or character. It is a prime example of why we turn to anime for a different outlook on any topic which can never be found in mainstream television. While Kaiba portrays a sort of dystopic setting in which memories can be transferred between individuals, the manner in which the adventures of the protagonist (who suffers from partial memory loss) play out keeps you ever so involved in the plot. It manages to actually portray significantly mature topics in a simple and candid manner with a pace and efficiency borderlining masterpiece. The only downside I feel is that the ending was a bit rushed, which is unfortunately characteristic to a lot of anime these days. In conclusion, I would say that its definitely worth a watch since it achieves the objective of making the viewer think on the importance of memories, relationships and responsibility in a very realistic and simple manner.
