This is going to be a very blunt, very short review.
UraBoku = Blue Seed. The only difference is that UraBoku has a hint of BL to its proceedings, and its animation is better.
UraBoku isn't bad exactly - its just not even slightly original. The first five episodes or so are boring as hell, though. I've read most of the manga, so it should improve, but don't go into this expecting something fresh and amazing. This is purely disposable entertainment, the kind of thing you watch to kill time. Not awful, but certainly nothing to write home about.
It does have a good soundtrack, though.
