The story and the art styles are definitely the best thing about this series. Every scene has a purpose in the greater plot, and the fight scenes especially are stunningly beautiful, if not highly detailed. That being said, the sounds of the show and the music in general are somewhat forgettable, though there are certain moments that the music makes.
The characters in the show have clear progression, and all of them have their part. Even when certain characters have predictable arcs, they are executed perfectly. The only thing keeping the characters to a 9 instead of a 10 is that the ending, and the character arcs that go with it, seemed a bit rushed and would have benefited from a 13th episode in the season.
Overall, I came into this anime with it being listed in the genre "Cute Girls Do Each Other" and expected it to be soft core porn with a plot. I was absolutely wrong, but in the best way.
