This is the best animated film I have ever seen and yes, I have seen the Haruhi Suzumiya film.
While both films can't really be compared, some people are going to compare them and claim which one is the superior film.
Eva 2.0 redefines what an animated film should be. It aspires to be something greater than the norm and Anno has proven himself to be the glorious bastard that he is.
I went in skeptical and while some parts of the film still didn't sit well with me, this is what all anime films should aspire to be. Constantly entertaining and maybe even make you think once in a while.
I will say that I get bored during movies... alot but this film keeps the viewer interested the entire time. During most films, I check to see how long it has left but never once in this film. I was completely engrossed the entire time.
While I may not have the glorified opinion that is always right as some people on this site claim to have, as far as I'm concerned, this is the best animated film I have ever seen. I encourage without restraint to any purveyor of fine animated products.
