The main character's dad said it best when he referenced any war is a foolish one. We all have our reasons to fight. Each reason can lead to a truly evil result. In the end we just want want the others want. To be able to live and be happy. Sadly, given overpopulation and a world filled with tons of past mistakes since there is no reset button in reality it will never be easy. So, why is it we celebrate those who wish to bare arms to protect us? When all they really are doing are protecting themselves and hurting others. Something to think about that came to mind during that crucial moment in this anime movie.
In terms of the introduction i was happy. Not only did one get proper education of the current scenario but an idea of what is to come.
Same could also be said about the conclusion. We the audience were treated to what has come to what will will come. In other words there was no questions that remained. At least no big ones.
Although, you are probably interested as to why i found this movie was a bit for me. Maybe it had something to do with how accurate the drawings looked in realism. Maybe it had something to do with the proper music choices/effects, or maybe how this anime's characters acted in an appropriate fashion. Whatever the cause the drama this anime had to over had no trouble bleeding out.
I salute not to the soldiers but to all the fallen tissues that were lost in the struggle and i wish you all could experience the joy through sorrow that this anime brought onto me. Makes wish i could have stopped those pointless wars that were fought for all the harm they inflicted for such a small reward as a trade off.
