It is very much "I Clapped: The Crossover" but I will admit that I did find it to be enjoyable at times. However, as previously mentioned, I felt Devilman was given a bit of the short end of the stick in this crossover and that it favored the Cyborg 009 cast. Episode 1 was the best, episode 2 was just okay, and episode 3 completely fell apart in my opinion.
Story: The story is simple enough. The Cyborgs become aware of the demon presence in Tokyo and theorize that Black Ghost is behind it so they set out to investigate.
Art: It's neat to see the blue style of Devilman applied to this version of his story and I thought the Cyborg 009 cast translated nicely as well. There is modifications to most to give the crossover its own flair and I didn't mind any.
Sound: I really enjoyed the intro and outro themes performed by The Jam Project. Other than that, nothing really stuck out to me. The VA's do a fine job as well.
Character: There's no sort of character development, as mentioned earlier, the crossover expects you to be familiar with the cast. I also felt Ryou was particularly underutilized, which is a shame. It plucks the characters from specific points in their timelines, so I would keep that in mind.
Enjoyment/Overall: I would say this is worth a look if you're a fan of one of the series'. The characters mix about as well as oil/water so it's interesting to watch on that merit alone.
It's fun to see both back at it and until Devilman: Crybaby was announced there was no real indication you'd be seeing either for a while again. However, the plot really fell apart for me at the end and the lack of Devilman's characters dampened my enjoyment a bit. However it's still a pretty easy watch overall for a fan of either series.
