The Sophist, Yotsuya-sempai Legendary Horror Stories. This is a rough translation of the title. I am very thankful that have found this. I wish my review will do it some justice.
Kiben Gakuha, Yotsuya-sempai no kaidan is one of the gems of psychological genre mangas. In a nutshell, the story follows Yotsuya-sempai, a student who shouldn't even exist as he tries to unfold real life murder mysteries by flushing out the perpetrator with horror stories. "'There is a truth in a lie". Read as he manipulates daily truths into ghastly elements of his story...

The art is rather unconventional, but it does give the story the right mood. Dark and thrilling. Creepy even at it's comedic moments.

What's great about Yotsuya is that he's like your typical detective but he's not typical. He uses no supernatural powers except for psychological suggestion and the power of the word. It's interesting and you get to read a story within a story obviously a well thought or literature. Though you may find Yotsuya's support a bit frantic and most of the antagonist are psyho killers without anything humanly relate-able, I think Yotsuya balances all.

The only thing, I am nervous about is the danger of this being repetitive. But overall a delicious psychological manga for psychological manga genre freaks.
