A thread-bare plot overloaded with time-skips, characters who are barely characters at all and certainly free of development and an incomprehensible main character collide in this lovely, but otherwise hollow excuse for a program.
Aside from some very nice art for the monsters, world and characters, some rather nice mechanical design, and some of the better CG mecha I've seen, 'Knight's & Magic' offers no reason to keep coming back week after week. While I acknowledge and admire the sheer passionate love for giant robots that does shine through the doldrums of the show, the absence of the grand stories of personal drama or world-threatening cataclysms that define the Mecha Genre are entirely absent. The result is... people playing with mechs for fun with zero stakes, like Build Fighters without any charm.
A waste of time that will only be remembered at ALL if it manages to spawn some good model kits or action figures of the mechs someday.
