Important: Current synopsis is wrong in terms of this anime. I am too lazy to change it myself. For i am unsure if the current posted synopsis is referencing the manga. Currently it mentions saved by 2 girls. Which is wrong. That is only a small part of how it is flawed among other parts.
Story
-pro: Provides a transition before the show begins.
-con: the transition is not intro based to the story. From what i could tell it is a transition from manga or game to anime. In short it is meant as a small joke for those viewers that were aware of the origin to this show.
Story was quite fast paced. Did not really leave room for breaths as the main character can shortly relate too *wink. Action is nice but too much at once is dull. Think of it this way say you wanted to watch a jackie chan movie. For you are a fan of all the kung fu moves he preforms. Now, if you had a friend or the skill to cut and blend all the action scenes together wouldn't it become boring? Especially knowing that you have the non action stuff to watch to fully watch the movie. Maybe this fact of life is true because one has a short attention span. No matter to how spicy a scene may be.
Art
-pro: transition was a nice little touch for it provided a changing service. Or in other words a clothes fetish.
-con: Transition wasn't original. I can think of quite a few anime that did this feature like la blue girl and sailor moon.
Unclear to me if this show had a game attached to it but if it did the art made a nice reference to it. What i meant to say with anime drawing they tend to be realistic. While gaming at least with some current games like Pokemon are 2d based.
Dream/fantasy scenes were portrayed nicely.
Characters
I mentioned how the story progression was rapid which by doing so has a negative effect on the characters. Yes, you can see what each character looks like inside and out. But you don't see what makes each character different like their mind sets on matters.
Overall: This anime was meant as a big bang. Not seeing the origin context i can't say if this was to be expected or not. If you are looking for something other than visual substance look else where.
P.s. If you have read this review of mine and have seen the actual origin content(game or manga or visual novel) please let me know what you thought of it. I may change my review if given a wider insight on its history.
