Story
The plot of this manga is amazing. It gives you a shallow plot of people who have been chosen by innocence to kill akumas and in the end, hopefully, defeat the Earl. But deep down, it's more than that. No spoilers here. But just a little hint. Allen walker is NOT what you think he is. With that, you should be more excited to go read and find out just what the heck is he.
Art
So many details are put in the art. But like any other shounen and action manga, details is just a plus.
Character
Do not get me started. ALL the characters have their own stories. ALL the characters have their own unique personalities, ALL the characters have their own jobs in the manga which in all, binds the manga together.
Allen Walker is the main character so I will give a brief description of him. He, all in all, is a very caring young man who always, always thinks about his friends and is willing to put himself in danger for them. He values all lives, even the akuma, and he wants to save humankind with all his heart.
Enjoyment
I couldn't enjoy this more. Probably the only manga I haven't gotten bored off despite the long hiatus and slow updates. You too will enjoy this if you give it a try.
Overall
D.Gray-man was the first anime I saw as a child and although at that time I couldn't understand jack about the storyline, I enjoyed it because the characters had powers. Now as an adult, I rewatch and reread the manga multiple times and each time I learn something a little different. Definitely a 10 in my book.
