The artwork was amazing! I honestly loved the color contrast of their eyes and the well-balanced body proportions! :)
The story has a very Hunger-Games feel to it since it's a "kill or be killed" plot line. Basically, as you can see from the description, it's a bunch of people who are killing each other to become "God". All of this may seem pretty cliche but the thing that really caught my eye was the use of future-telling phones and the character structure.
First off, the future-telling objects was a very creative idea. We probably had thought up this device as kids while we were playing "pretend" and stuff. It was pretty neat seeing your "dream weapon" come to life in anime :D The concept of them was PHENOMENAL! How they set it up in a diary form which reflects the player's character in some way or another was a very neat touch that I adored ^-^
Secondly the characters were very well-made! They all had a reason of wanting to become God, not just because of the heck of it. Even though they may seem pretty annoying and dou*chy at first glance, they all have a pretty well-explained backstory to explain their actions which makes you fall in love with them <3 Finally! I found an anime with no 3-dimensional antagonists!
Now we have the cons...
BEWARE OF THE UNCENSOREDNESS
they will show lots of...erhmm "graphic" images that are completely irrelevant to the plot. For an example, showing boob nipples, showing actual penises, etc. Yes, they do not censored them, and it takes the viewer's attention away from the actual story and onto the...ehghh "detail"
At the ending it started becoming more thrown together and not very well thought out. Only adding sexual scenes in just to make it "interesting." Again, VERY irrelevant to the plot.
Overall, I do recommend this anime to people who love a neat mix of Sci-Fi, fantasy, and romance :D
**Note to Dub and Sub viewers***
I personally, watched the dub version of it and it was pretty okay ;) lots of people said it's one of the worst dubbed animes but since I'm so used to dub, it wasn't THAT bad. But I only recommend the dub to people who are used to watching dub.
As for sub-people.. stick with sub. The sub is AMAZINNGGGG. I watched a few clips of the sub and it was *gives OK hand sign*
