Let's start with the DETECTIVE CONAN review-
STORY:
As are the cases with most of the 200+ episodes anime,the major task of the creator is to keep the watchers always on the hook with a mix of main plot as well as fillers thrown in between.
Detective conan is the story of a genius high school detective kudou shinichi, rest I'm sure you've read from the synopsis.
The journey of 837 epsiodes(till now) of Edogawa conan, cracking impossible cases begins with murders ranging from serial killing,sadistic killing to killings with sad endings and as kudou always says "There is only one truth" ,the cases which seemed impossible get solved with simplest of reasonings which makes us look stupid.
That's the beauty of this show, even though there are so many episodes all were brilliant to some extent and did'nt bore for the most part(even the fillers).

ART:
It being first aired in 1996,the art at the start may make some people go away but i advice you to bear those and watch it since the improvement in current episodes are phenomenal.

CHARACTERS:
Another fabulous area of the show are the characters.The kawaii but sometimes irritating love interest, the rival in deduction, the always there to help professor, the best of friends in the kids, the villainous bad guys who always bring in the suspense and action whenever present along with some major support characters in the police department as well as in parallel shows( YES KAITOU KID).

ENJOYMENT:
The 20 odd fillers are worth the wait for the main action that follows.So enoyment is always there.

OVERALL:
Do watch this, you can take months to complete this as there is no need to do it at one go but missing this just because of the sheer episode count is absurd and you'd be seriously missing out.There's a reason this show has been going on for 20 years.
