An entertaining, slightly over the top volleyball manga. If Haikyuu!! is the gold standard then this is running second, though can still be very enjoyable.
It's still early on but there's been some intrigue built into the plot. Given that this is published monthly, I think that some parts that ran for a few chapters could have been condensed into 1 or 2 to keep the pacing moving along and interest up.
The action scenes are very well done and a highlight of the series. Most characters have a distinctive design and personality; some are more extreme than others and could be seen as annoying, but may grow on you.
There's an annoying tendency after just about anything happens for a reaction shot of the main character in the very next panel. It's as predictable as the "dramatic" sound drops on reality TV. Count how many times Shimodaira goes ":OOOOOOOOOOOOO" after a spike for yourself!
Overall, this is well worth reading if you're a fan of Haikyuu!! or sports manga in general.
