Mixed Feelings
I have been watching anime for the longest time and I was never too picky. Recently, I have been seeking Art to be good (not necessary amazing) and that the character development should be there. This anime has been one of those, which almost everyone was raving about. I just, like right now, watched it. Reading the comments, I expected to cry, since I am a huge softie. But, I didn't. here's why:

Story:
The story itself sounded promising. A story about two people who love each other in distance? My cheesy heart couldn't be happier to had found something like this. I began to watch it, not with high expectations. I simply began to watch it and I almost right away felt confused. To me, they tried to show to people what was happening and had happened and at the same time, they tried to deliver the character's emotions to me. I have to say, it didn't. This movie tried to cover so much, within an ONE HOUR time. The ending had a deep meaning about it, but it felt so dry. As if it was handed to me and asked to swallow it, whether I wanted or not. It was rushed and I wasn't pleased with the way things went. I expected for something to happen, to develop so that I could walk hand in hand with the story. The bitch sprinted away and even my sporty mind, struggled to keep up.
Art:
I have to say, sceneries were the key point in this movie. They were beautiful and breathtaking. Other things? Almost forgotten. The facial expressions lacked something, which had me thinking: "So, should I simply guess what the hell they're feeling?". Not everyone is able to not be an opened book. More often, people's emotions are easily guessed by their expressions. The Art, simply did not make me feel a thing. (And I'm a really emotional person when watching movies or anime)
Sound:
Ok, I'll be honest. I wasn't paying attention. Nothing about the music screamed to me and THAT'S what I am picky about. Music delivered at times to me the emotions which the characters couldn't give. Leave the job of the story and characters to music.
Character:
Ok, I'll be frank. The main character almost pissed me off, because for some reason he became realistic only at the end to me. His development was barely there, while the other character? I simply have no idea who she is, how to picture her or how to name her. Surprisingly, I didn't get emotionally connected to none of the characters and I think at times that the things the two main characters were going through during the time of separation was blown out of portions. As I said before, only the ending sounded realistic to me. Ok scratch that, that idiot still did something which to me sounds incredibly insane, but not gonna spoil.
Enjoyment:
Nothing to say about this, I was waiting for something good to happen and it didn't. The movie kept me hanging almost annoyingly, in wait of a development. The flow of the story was hollow and empty and I believe that they tried to deliver too many messages at the same time that by the time they realised that they still had many more materials to add, they went like: "Oh fuck it!" and smashed everything together.
Overall:
This gets nothing more and nothing less than 6. I am no critique, but anyone who has watched or read amazing stories, should know that this movie could have been way better than this. This is MY opinion, but i'd encourage you to give this a try and don't be surprised, if your opinion differs with mine! But all in all, to me it was mostly something to pass time, unluckily. Hope that's not the same case with you.
