Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (9/13 eps)
Story/ we've seen this kind of story numerous times. Some otaku game freak gets trapped in a game and has to find a way out. However that wasn't the case for overlord. We don't know how or why the MC is trapped inside the game. He quickly excepts it without hesitation and barely questions it. He travels around the game in hopes of finding other players who've been trapped to. One thing I noticed about overlord is that it does more telling than showing which leads to a long dialogue of info dumps. Also I don't even think this anime has a story to be honest. I was quite bored after 5 episodes and zoned out numerous times while watching. The world building is pretty nice and enjoyed watching the characters travel around. Eventually I grew tired and uninterested so I dropp it.

Art/ the art in overlord is pretty good I enjoyed the character designs and fight animations. However I noticed that a couple of Shitty CG models were thrown in and they looked atrocious.

Sound/ overlords sound track really isn't memorable one bit actually it was quite bland to be honest. However I will admit that the opening song was amazing.

Characters/ probably the weakest point of the show. Almost every character in this anime is boring, bland, and uninteresting. Except for the Main Character. Despite him being a annoying Gary Stu I found him to be a rather enjoyable MC. None of the other characters are memorable in any way to the point where I wouldn't have given a damn if they died or not.

Enjoyment/ despite this anime being extremely unoriginal and somewhat boring. It was actually pretty enjoyable. It wasn't anything amazing but it wasn't bad either which is why I'm giving this a 5/10.
