As a person who has watched anime for most of his almost all of his life. The good ones always leave you with a sense of melancholy, wishing there is more to it and that it would just keep going. I experienced that here with Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo.

Starting off I had my doubts about some of the characters here and it seemed almost cookie cutter troubled boy who has no direction or talent, a girl who likes boy but too afraid to admit it but as the show goes on you come to love them and all of the characters and you start to relate to them especially their failures. As for a high school anime it is a bit different with the dormitory life and odd tenants ala Maison Ikkoku but it comes together brilliantly and did I mention its hilarious!

I just wished they continued with the new tenants... 9/10
