Ahh.. This is my first Anime i give it a 10. It's not easy to give a movie / Anime serie a golden 10. But 5 CM per second's did that for me. And here's why !
Story.
Oke. The story's isn't really plotwise. Or is it? It is how you see the movie. For example. For me i had a girlfriend over 7 year's. And she lived more then 2 hour's away from me. I traveled allot with the train to go to her. And yeah. eventually you grow appart from eachother. And we broke up with eachother. And because allot scene's in this story (Being troubled going with the train to somewhere far as example). It make's you feel like you are not watching a movie. But more like feeling you are watching yourself on some level. And that's one thing that 5 cm per second did. And that make's it for me a movie that deserve's a 10. But i can understand that people look at a way different way to this movie. And not get the same feeling. And i can understand that. Everyone is different. Something i love. Could be something els who would prefer to burn it alive.
Art.
There's one thing that allot people say. That this movie should be called ''5 Wallpaper's per second''. And i have to admit. I had for a long time one of 5 cm per second wallpapers on my desktop. This is just one of the highest quality of anime i've seen. without a doubt.
Sound
Oh man. When i hear that soundtrack. The complete movie flashes away like it does on the movie itself. Also the piano tracks in it. (specially end theme) i love that. I made you feel so powerless. It's just really good. Here's a 9
Characters
Like i stated the mc remind's me of myself. The way he think's. React's on traveling on the train. And regrettig so many year's about not seeing the person you actually really like. Also the other character's are really well made. Sometimes it remind's me how people react at me at certain situations. Another 9 please!
Enjoyment.
It's not only the enjoyment i had while watching this movie. The around 1 hour long movie just made me watch breathless. And the hour felt like it was just a few minute's. Even after finishing the movie it run'ned day's in my mind thinking of it. Because it reflected my life. Well done 5cm per second. here's a 9
Overall.
Yes here it is. A golden 10. Even if you wouldn't feel like i did because the story. I am sure you will enjoy how beautiful it is. And the ending is so harsh. but it fit's so well in reality. Life is harsh. And this movie show's that really well. Grab yourself some popcorn and enjoy this beautiful movie!
