Things you should know about Sakura Discord:

1) It's drawn by the same mangaka as Jitsu wa Watashi wa (Actually, I Am), and the artwork is almost identical. Like it or hate it, the artwork is very distinct. Also, the humor is similar in both cases: lots of slapstick, lots of shouting, lots of over-the-top and exaggerated faces.

2) Unlike Jitsu wa Watashi wa, Sakura Discord has no supernatural elements. It also deals with some more serious issues (all of the characters have some reasonably weighty back stories), although it does manage to keep an appropriately light-hearted tone all the time. The focus is on overcoming our traumas with friendship and perseverance, and so it doesn't get too bogged down in the tragedy of those traumas.

3) The manga takes about a volume to really get going. Honestly, the protagonist starts out an annoying jerk, but by the end of the first volume he is kind of a cool guy, and his relationship with Nomiya has settled into a pretty good vibe. Once that happens, Sakura Discord becomes an extremely enjoyable Shounen romantic comedy manga, and stays that way right up until its clearly rushed ending.

4) And yes, the ending is rushed. It's not an awful ending. I won't give any spoilers, but this isn't one of those endings that will have you banging your head against a wall or wishing you hadn't read the manga. But anytime multiple time skips are involved in the same chapter, you know something went at least a little bit wrong.

That being said, this is a very good manga. If you like the mangaka's work, or are otherwise a fan of shounen romantic comedies (Nisekoi, Parallel, Kagetora, Love Hina, etc.) then you'll enjoy Sakura Discord.
