This review is mostly spoiler free and is suitable for those who have already watched Clannad(not Clannad: After Story, just Clannad)(sounds like I'm selling some kinda food lol)
This is my second review so its probably really bad but please do read it:) id be grateful if ya did

I decided to watch Clannad(when i say Clannad I am also including after story) due to it being so popular and i have never been so glad to have completed an anime.

This story puts you on an extremely shaky rollercoaster where the emotions are constantly rushing in at every sharp curve you turn...doesn't quite make sense but this is the closest i can explain in words.

Story-10
The story is beautiful. Huh. Its been a while since I've said that word. When it comes to anime and sad parts, I dunno why but I've never physically cried. I just felt really sad afterwards. Well this story was SO close to having me in tears. I wouldn't have minded if i cried for a great story like this to be honest(i don't wanna waste my tears ;)) Honestly, the story goes in multiple directions, and it all started from a delinquent who found his life boring.

I'm starting to make this sound like a serious anime, which it is at some points, but it has many other aspects that made it enjoyable too. The tsukkomi/straight comedy always kept me laughing, the happy 'family moments kept the smile on my face, the 'dango' song that kept on playing in my head repeatedly even after i finished the episode, they all made Clannad: After Story agent anime worth watching.

Art-8
I loved the art a lot, it was great, and especially loved the Illusionary Girl and the Garbage Doll. The awkwardly animated movements was a great contrast to the main story, so was the way the Garbage Doll was drawn. I believe that it was this contrast that I loved the most about this story.

Sound-7
The Dango song(oh here it is again, repeating itself in my head) didn't seem like much in Clannad but in After Story, it has such a big impact. Even though I think it has been a little overused, it still brought the many feels in the most important parts which is very good.
The soundtrack overall was again I say it beautiful.

Character-7
I gave the character 7 as to me, this character design is commonly seen, where some characters have to little springs coming out their head, a bit like Greg from diary of a wimpy kid and all the characters eyes are massive, even for anime. Personality wise, I thought there was a good variety but a couple too many people who were physically abusing others (ahaha)

Enjoyment-8
I did enjoy this story very much, I am so glad I watched it, never will I regret it. But I enjoyed it for the odd reason of ingoing to probably help me in the hopefully long life ill live ahead(?). I'm sure the future me will be thankful.
As I'm still kinda a child(mentally I'm always gonna be a child, physically, ehhh i guess I'm not) I probably don't get the true beauty of this but I guess I'll re-watch it in a couple of years time and maybe actually cry? We'll see.

Overall-10
(Yeah if you add up all the scores of each part and get the average it ain't gonna be 10 but when I think about this overall, it does deserve a 10.)
After watching Clannad: After Story, I think the way I will live my life in the future will be more firm and I think I'll be able to handle harder situations better. Knowing and accepting that the road of life is gonna be hard ahead is probably the first step to adulthood(I think) so when I'm bothered to step into that world, I guess I'll take my own advice(gosh what kinda person am I, taking my own advice-_- )

Well for those who were bothered to read that all, I hope you do enjoy Clannad: After Story :)
