Trust is something that is earned. This anime teaches you that even though people and this world may be cruel, there is a friend in this world that you are destined to meet. This friend will always have your back and stick with you through the very end. Even if you do not have that friend right now, this anime becomes that comfort for you.
The characters were well built starting from the first episode. There are a few characters who do not get as developed as others but this doesn't take away from the anime at all. The art style throughout the anime can be dark but then comforting and bright at times. The sound and music for this series is pretty good. The intro and ending themes are masterpieces.
In retrospect, I cannot praise this anime enough. My enjoyment for this show overflows. Keep in mind that this anime does contain some graphic/gory scenes. However, it's an anime about overcoming life's obstacles.
