Neon Genesis Evangelion is a great series that stands on it's own, a magnificent story with true character development and personally one of those animes that is forever engraved in my memory.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion is a psychological anime that gets so metaphorical and colorful at it's climax that it's hard to comprehend what is happening, but if you endure it, you shall emerge stronger then before with a broad understanding of what makes us human. This movie is basically about Shinji, about letting go the past, accepting that there is happiness in sadness, growing up and finding oneself.

I would like to say that this is a anime that I have a hard time rating because I have mixed feelings about, I don't hate it yet I don't love it, but it's also not mediocre because it stands on it's own. I would like to leave clear that I have not seen the original series, I've watched all the recente movies and remakes before hand and decided to watch this because of it's high praises.

I am not a fan of old anime, but this has it's charm, I endured it for it's fantastic life lessons, beautiful dialogue, art and metaphors and for that I don't regret nothing.
