Sword art Online or SAO for short, is the type of anime i recommend to new comers of anime. The very First few episodes of SAO was great, as it had a strong sense of danger and death,but as the series dragged out, they started to lose that feeling and just kept adding pointless story lines that really didn't mattered to the story or the characters. The main character of SAO is a teenager named Kirito. i personally did not like Kirito due to him being WAY to over powered. The fact that it felt like he could literally do anything is one of the reasons the show started to lose its sense of danger. Kirito had a companion and love interest named Asuna. Once again i did not like Asuna because of how annoying she was. Asuna is the type of girl that made me kinda wanna slap her in the face. In the first few episodes she was basically telling Kirito "give up, you suck!" Later she became more of a likable character. The romance in SAO was to "stupid" and "sappy" One minute Asuna hates Kirito, and the next, she wants to "bang" after the Aincrid arc comes the fairy dance arc. Arc 2 was really unnecessary and felt like they just wanted money and to put another girl to Kirito harem. (with some minor incest. Elfin(fairy dance arc) wasn't the worst part, but it was quiet bad.
Overall...Sword art online is a good anime for newcomers of anime that have its up and downs and I give it a score of 6/10
