I was pleasantly surprised by this anime. At first, I was expecting something Boku No Pico-esque but it was surprisingly cute.
The characters are well developed and likable. The art style is beautiful; being a 2016 anime, the sound and art is very clean.
It's not entirely obvious how young Ren is, so depending on how comfortable you are watching children as part of a yaoi, this anime may not be for you. It's certainly not as disturbing as other underage yaoi, and it's certainly not graphic,so it may be good even for the faint-hearted.
It's extremely slow build which is I find irritating, especially since there isn't much of a payoff by the time things get going. I was expecting more Junjou Romantica-type scenes but there just weren't enough of them. Hopefully because their relationship only really got off the ground in the final few episodes, a second season will contain cuter scenes.
