As my first review, I decided to go for one of the most hated shows of the season, Big Order.

I understand that there was a bit of hype about this show following Mirai Nikki's success, and that this anime was one of the worst anime of the season. I'm going to try to keep this review spoiler free, although for anyone who is interested in this show, I can tell you right now that you are better off saving your time.

Story: 3

After finishing the anime, I am still a little confused about what the main plot was supposed to be. It seemed to start out as one thing, deteriorate into a jumbled mess, then reform into something completely different in a rush at the end. There were bits and pieces of plot points that seemed to hint at a plot which could have been great, but none of those are expanded upon or used at all really. they simply exist in the back ground as the anime takes wrong turn after wrong turn.

Art: 5

The art and character designs were solid enough, if annoying similar to the authors other, more well known work that is Mirai Nikki. The animation is solid enough, but the ED is one of the worst i have ever seen. It's as if they just didn't want to animate the ED, so just left it the way it was. The censoring was enough by itself to drop the art by an entire point as well.

Also, half of the last episode is portrayed through some kind of grey filter that is terrible.

Sound: 5

Nothing about the sound track is memorable, besides maybe how much the ED doesn't fit the mood of the anime at all. The voice acting is alright, but mostly its just average.

Character: 2

This anime is completely devoid of character development in any way that makes sense. The main characters motivations are questionable (I can't say what, because spoiler) and he is pretty much personalityless without them, Rin is just a copy/paste of Yuno, minus some of the crazy, and none of the side characters get enough attention to become anyone you could even start to care about.

Enjoyment: 2

I dropped this show after the first episode. I gave it another try a few weeks later, and dropped it again at episode 7. After the show ended, I forced myself to finish it. I think the worst thing about this anime is having to see all of it's potential, then watch as it gets pissed down the drain.

Overall: 3

To put it simply, this anime was a mess of missed opportunities and wasted potential fused with cardboard characters and unnecessary (and unnecessarily censored) fan service. It was a few moments where it could have revived itself, but it chose to let itself die on the operating table. I would not recommend this anime to anyone.
