Mixed Feelings
While being an overall fun and adorable series, Kuma Miko still feels like there is something lacking from it.

To start off, I already loved the setting, as I've been a fan of shows with rural atmospheres. The main concept for this series isn't particularly new, but I liked it was executed. However, this is one of the issues with the show. There seems to be too much focus on it to the point where it becomes old hat. Not that I didn't really mind, but it would have been nice to show a little change in pace.

The characters, while enjoyable, could have been done better than what was shown. Clearly, these people have close relationships, based on the setting, so it would be nice to see what kind of relationship these people have with each other. There was one episode where everyone from the community were together and that was done pretty well. Instead, there is more focus on the two main characters, which not necessarily a bad thing, but it can be more than that.

The animation is probably the one thing I can stay fully positive about. The character designs are unique and gives it that adorable look to it. The over exaggerated expressions is what makes the comedy good.

Seeing previews before it aired made be look forward to watching it. Having done so, I won't deny that I was a tad bit disappointed. It was all right, but there was something missing from it that could have made just better than it is.
