I feel it's hard to properly review Mirai Nikki, because the series is so many things. Mirai Nikki is a psychological thriller, filled with gore, nudity, and some of the most twisted characters in all of anime.

Story 10/10: I think the concept behind this show is one of the most genius out there, it can basically be summed up as a fantasy, mythological, hunger games. The series starts out following a young boy names Yukiteru Amano, or Yuki, who's only friend is his imaginary friend, Deus Ex Machina, the god of time and space. He soon finds out that Deus may not be as imaginary as he thinks when he gives him a diary that allows him to know what will happen in the future. It turns out Yukiteru is just one of twelve people who has been granted this power, and all of them have been selected by Deus to participate in a battle royale, where whoever is the one left standing by the end of a 90 day period, when the world will end, will become the new god of time and space.

Art/animation 9/10: For the art I really loved the way the characters were drawn, and there's something about the animation that gives the setting a worldly feel.

Sound 9/10: I loved the opening, it went perfect with the show and set the atmosphere perfectly. I also loved that creepy theme that always played for Yuno.

characters 9/10: Mirai Nikki is mostly famous for one person. Yuno. However I do feel like she gets a little too much credit as the anime has other characters who I think are just as amazing. Like Uryuu Minene who seems to be everyone who watches the show's favorite character but is somehow over shadowed by Yuno. I can actually understand this as Yuno has been crowned queen of the yanderes(however in my opinion it's Shion Sonozaki). But enough of that. Mirai Nikki is also known for some of it's twisted characters who are just overly creepy and messed up. One thing I found interesting about how the characters were presented, was how as the story went on the main character became more twisted himself(and downright pathetic) and all the other characters were presented less as the villains.

Enjoyment 8/10: Here is my biggest problem with the show, the series atmosphere felt really weak at some points, like i wanted to see more plot twists(however there are definitely some major ones), and it felt as if it was being told more as some normal fantasy instead of some trippy psychological thriller. But besides that I loves almost everything about it. Good character development, good art, interesting characters etc.

I recommend this show to anyone who is looking for something memorable and that is a break through in the anime community.
