Its shortcomings were due to plot holes, an unrelatable main character, and rushed story. I felt that this could have been fleshed out a bit more, but I could understand how much effort must go into an animation like this.
If you love shounens, you'll love this. Don't be turned away because it is a romance, either. I didn't expect to like this but the show has exposed me to the romance genre of anime which I appreciate greatly.
