When most people think of Type-Moon they usually think about the Fate series which is understanding due to how many spinoffs the series has.
However because of this most people forget that they have other franchises such as Tsukihime and Melty Blood, well this show quickly reminds people of that.

Carnival Phantasm is a collaboration attempt between these three series and judging by the serious tone that both Fate and Tsukihime project you would expect a fairly dark and serious show with thought provoking questions.
Well this show could not be any farther from that if it tried, this show is more or less a comedy show based around the premise that the holy grail war is won not by combat but through a japanese game show.
Well thats the basic premise, it also includes many short stories and skits involving various characters from different series by Type-Moon.
Some of the characters from seperate shows will even encounter each other in all the best ways.

The show is the perfect example of how fan service should be done without the nudity and shameless sexualization that we see in ecchi all the time.
It works like fanfiction but not the bad kind that insults the readers intelligence.

The art is a updated version of the now boycotted Fate/Stay Night anime from Studio Deen which isnt too surprising seeing as how they made this.
The animation is done fairly well and keeping to the almost looney toons vibe the show puts on.

The music is sort of hit or miss depending on who you ask because its all that very upbeat style of J-Pop which isnt for everyone.

The characters are pretty much the same as they are in their respective shows just alot more light hearted seeing as how the entire show is a comedy.
They keep alot of the running gags from the shows and even poke fun at some of the theories some fans have made such as having Caster be a otaku who obsesses over her waifu (in this case Saber)

In short the show is done very well, its very different but if you need a break from all the seriousness and fanservice in anime then i cant recommend this show enough.
