Been a long time since I really enjoy the thrill of action anime. This is really grasp my head and I was literally hold my breath during some of the fighting scenes. For those who love the art of samurai, this is definitely for you.

The story reminds me a lot of Bakumatsu Roman (a.k.a Rurouni Kenshin). A ronnin have a difficulty dealing with his own past and chose to stray and locked his katana, then he met a new friend which is in the end he wants to protect. Since it is a single movie, the story pace flowing quite fast yet steady with the climax at the end of the story. The story is touching in a lot of ways, yet it is thrilling. Definitely entertaining.

Artwork? For those who loves shonen anime, you will love the character design. The colouring was incredible and the detail was great (I found it quite similar with Mushishi in many ways, except the fighting was one of the best I have ever seen)

The main character was a hero type with a past that need redemption, paired with a bad tempered kid.

It is hardly difficult to find anything that I don't like from this movie (except that I wish this was 170 episode long). This is make up my list of one of the best samurai anime in my life (after Rurouni Kenshin)
