Story: The story is about a claymores who are half yoma, half human warriors that fight yoma. These claymores have large swords which lets other claymores know the rank and name of that calymore. The main plot involves Clare and Raki. Spoiler Warning: Clare's goal to kill a claymore which became awakened and killed Teresa.
There are two parts of this story. The main part involves Clare and Raki. The other part involves Teresa's story.
This story is solid and keeps you going from one even to the next however, there a substance lacking elements. I will not list because of spoilers but when you watch you will know what I mean. This anime was made when the manga was still going, this should indicate to you what the ending is.
Art: Many people compliment the art and say that it is good if not great. I am not a fan of this art style. Especially since it reminds me of the art style used for Bible Black a famous hentai. Which by the way has good animation. Overall it does the job but not my cup of tea.
Sound: The sound in this show is well done. The sounds of blades hitting and cutting the targets is believable. My favorite sounds are when the claymores are using their inner yoma powers. The sound during the transformations are well done. If you are deciding which version dub or subbed. I recommend subbed because the dub is meh.
Characters: Except for Raki I liked every character in this story especially the claymores. I love how you meet the higher ranked claymores ad everyone is in awe of them. Every clamore in this show was interesting and I cared if they lived or died. I even did not mind the minor characters. You know the people who were in the villages that required the clyamore's assistance. Clare is just awesome, she never gives up and fights for what see believes in. She has a heart as well, in that she will not kill innocent people even if just a second ago they were an enemy. Clare throughout the show is ranked 47 out of 50 which is bad. Despite this she is very important in every mission that she is in. Plus she saves everyone's hide during the show.
Enjoyment: This show is great to watch. There were moments that made my jaw drop in a good way. The shows keeps you relaxed and comfortable and BAM something crazy happens and you have so many deep emotions going on at once. This one of the many experiences I have had when I watched the show. The action in this show is great it is does go on for too long. Also i do not feel cheated in that they cut off a fight too early.
Overall: This is fun show that has a tone of action/ violence. There are many great and characters that r you can relates to. I would watch this one again. The only thing you should be aware of is Raki and the ending. Other than that give this one a try.
